AMCHA is a codeword Jews used to identify each other as survivors after the Holocaust. The organization that goes by that name in Israel is a help network of psychologists, educators and social workers, for survivors and their families. It is focused on the psychological effects of experiences connected with the Shoah. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is thus an important topic of the AMCHA site and of many publications produced by that organization.

It was created by the Magenta Foundation based in Amsterdam, which works to combat all forms of discrimination against minority groups. Survivors of the Shoah is a foundation established by Steven Spielberg in 1994. Its goal is to film and preserve the testimonies of Holocaust survivors, as visual history. The Foundation has collected about 52,000 visual recordings in 32 languages from 56 countries.

The Judaica Foundation - Center for Jewish Culture www.judaica.pl
The idea of creating the Judaica Foundation - Center for Jewish Culture was born in Cracow at the end of the 1980s, a time of historic changes in Poland. The idea emerged among people from the worlds of culture, education and the arts. The late President of the Jewish Congregation in Cracow, Czesław Jakubowicz, was actively involved in this civic initiative. The Foundation began its activities in 1991, and on November 24, 1993, the Center was opened under its auspices.

The Wannsee Conference House Memorial and Educational Center is located in the building where, on January 20, 1942, under the chairmanship of Obergruppenfuehrer SS Reinhard Heydrich, 14 leading officials of the Reich ministerial apparatus and SS officers finalized the organizational details to implement an earlier decision to deport the Jews of Europe to the east and murder them en masse - the "final solution". The site of that meeting gave it its name, the Wannsee Conference.
