The International Peace Bureau (IPB) is a federation established in 1892, which unites people working towards peace in all areas of life. IPB brings together pacifist, women's rights, youth, religious and professional organizations. IPB has 235 member organizations from over 50 countries.
The main goal of the federation is to advocate peace and to support disarmament activities. IPB also endorses peace campaigns organized by private citizens. The majority of IPB resources go to support anti-war campaigns and international peace projects. The main tasks include preventing and resolving conflicts, and defending peace and human rights. The IPB is engaged in educational activities, publishing, organizing conferences, and providing logistical support to nongovernmental organizations.
The International Peace Bureau website has much online material: articles, studies, documents and links to related organizations. |
