The Social and Cultural Society of Jews in Poland (TSKŻ) was created in 1950 as a secular organization uniting Polish Jews. Its goal is to meet the cultural needs of the Jewish community and to represent it to the government and other organizations in Poland. In 2002 its membership amounted to 2,700, with regional branches in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Lodz, Katowice, Bielsko-Biala, Gliwice, Zary, Walbrzych, Czestochowa, Lublin, Szczecin, Gdansk, Krakow, Legnica, Bytom, Dzierzonowo and Poznan.
