The Institute for Conflict Management is a non-profit organization set up in 1997, engaged in evaluating and resolving internal security problems in South Asia. The core areas of activity include analyzing regional security policy, planning support for communities affected by conflict and violence, and organizing seminars, workshops and programs for security personnel.
The Institute's many projects include the interesting North East Portal (
www.neportal.org), a separate website focusing on conflict in northeast India. The South Asia Intelligence Review (SAIR) is a weekly service that provides data on the region, regional policies, and economic and social issues. The South Asia Terrorism Portal (
www.satp.org) is a large website with over 7,000 pages on regional security, threats and terrorist activity. The Portal provides comprehensive information on these topics, with bibliographies, articles, analyses and maps.
